Big Ups to Juno Download for the wonderful review of Hybu’s latest ‘Cleopatra’ EP out now on Hot N Heavy Recordings -
"Renaissance man Etienne Giminez has set dancefloors alight with his unique bass productions while also holding down a career as a music journalist. This, his latest EP, channels the spirit of the great Elizabeth Taylor and is as schizophrenic, drug fuelled and generally bonkers as Taylor herself (which, by the way, is a good thing). "The Way We Dance Together" is deep 4 x 4 with hints of UKG, "Sweat" is all choppy disco-ravey grooves, while the title track is about getting a deep jack on. Remix-wise Druid Cloak nails it with smooth tropical washes and slow poolside beats. Lovely." - Juno Download #future #club #music

Tanka - STRUTT

Steadily making a name for himself with consistent releases on Hot N’ Heavy, and Sub Skank, the producer well-known as Tanka is set for his next release on Chasing Unicorns. The three track EP, ‘Effervesce’ increases the sense of confidence one gets from the young and talented producer. The steady swaying, and funk-laden bass rhythm pushes Tanka’s assertive attitude for creativity and homage to classic bits. There is always something to be said about producers, and individuals in general, that are visibly comfortable with themselves and within their realm - it heightens the perceived feeling of assurance and essentially results in you, the listener, enjoying their music at a more fundamental level. Stay tuned to this guy, Tanka knows what he’s doing. As always, check out his productions via Soundcloud.
